Returns & Refunds Policy – LookLight Eyewear (South Africa)
This Returns & Refunds Policy (“Policy”) applies to all purchases made via the LookLight online store (looklight.co.za).
By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms contained herein.
1. General Policy
1.1 LookLight strives to ensure complete customer satisfaction and stands behind the quality of its products.
1.2 This Policy complies with the **Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”)** and other applicable South African consumer legislation. 1.3 Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or waive your statutory consumer rights under the CPA.
2. Returns for Incorrect, Damaged or Defective Goods (14-Day Window)
2.1 If you receive an item that is incorrect, damaged upon arrival, or if the packaging arrives in a defective condition, you must notify us **in writing within 14 (fourteen) calendar days** of delivery.
2.2 Notification must be sent to info@looklight.co.za and must include:
- Order number
- Full name and contact details
- Clear description of the issue
- Photographs of the product and/or packaging if applicable
2.3 The item must be returned to us in its original packaging, unused, and in the same condition as received.
2.4 Once the return is inspected and approved, LookLight will issue either:
- A replacement of the same item, or
- An exchange of equal value (subject to stock availability).
Where legally required under the CPA, a refund will be processed in lieu of a replacement or exchange.
3. 2-Year Manufacturer Defect Guarantee
3.1 All LookLight sunglasses carry a 2-year warranty covering legitimate manufacturer defects.
3.2 The warranty does not cover damage arising from:
- Accidental misuse
- Scratches from wear and tear
- Exposure to extreme heat
- Negligent handling
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
3.3 If a product is believed to contain a manufacturing defect, the customer must notify us via info@looklight.co.za and return the item for evaluation.
3.4 If the defect is confirmed to be a manufacturing fault, LookLight will issue a replacement of the same model or a model of equivalent value if the original is discontinued.
Refunds are not normally offered under this clause unless required by law.
4. Refunds
4.1 LookLight prioritises replacements or exchanges for approved returns.
4.2 In accordance with South African law and the CPA, a cash refund may only be issued when a replacement or repair is not possible, or where the product is returned due to inherent defects or failure to meet the intended purpose.
4.3 Refunds, where applicable, will be issued to the original payment method within 10–14 business days after approval. *
5. Return Shipping
5.1 For incorrect/damaged goods or confirmed manufacturing faults, LookLight will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
5.2 For any other return not governed by this Policy, the customer may be responsible for shipping fees.
6. Non-Returnable Items
- Products damaged through customer misuse
- Items not returned within the stipulated timeframe
- Items without original packaging and accessories
